I begin with the hundred drums of Wangala in the Garo hills, then Meghalaya's root bridges, Kaziranga at dawn, the Raas dance-dramas of Majuli's monasteries, Konyak villages on the Myanmar border, and ten days of the Hornbill Festival near Kohima.
